A California judge has ordered rap mogul Master P to pay his estranged wife nearly $30,000 a month in child and spousal support, according to media reports. The couple, who married in 1989 and have nine children together, announced their plans to divorce in 2014. Master P, whose real name is Percy Miller, will reportedly pay his wife $16,574 each month in spousal support and $10,473 in child support. The financial agreement is said to be a temporary solution and will be modified once all the couple’s marital assets are identified and divided.
The judge also ruled that he must pay his wife’s legal fees, which are around $200,000, and allow her to remain in the family’s Calabasas home. According to media reports, Miller was trying to ban her from the residence because he didn’t want her to introduce other men to the couple’s children.
Before the ruling, Miller’s wife claimed she was broke and was forced to apply for welfare. She also accused her rapper son Romeo Miller, age 26, of attempting to hide assets for his father.
