For the vast majority of people in Auburn and the surrounding parts of California, divorce and other family law matters are extremely emotional. These matters cannot be resolved by simply doing the proper paperwork. To be successful, an attorney must understand the complex emotions and legal issues that are interwoven in each of these cases.
I am attorney Chandra E. Miller. I understand the emotional ups and downs you are faced with. I also understand that it can be difficult to see past these emotions. My job is to help you see the light at the end of the tunnel. I do that by empowering you with the knowledge necessary to find a resolution that works for you.
A Lawyer and a Teacher
In 2009 and 2010, I was named by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star, one of the Top Young Lawyers in Northern California. While this speaks to my talent for using my knowledge to help people through challenging family law matters, I have also brought my knowledge out into the community in other ways. At the previous firm where I worked, I co-taught a Family Law 101 class to mental health and financial professionals with one of my firm partners, Hal Bartholomew.
The Family Law 101 class was designed to educate mental health and financial professionals on the divorce process and divorce options, so they have an understanding of what their clients are going through and how it may impact the way they provide their services. I recently co-taught a divorce option class in May 2010 to educate women in the community about the divorce process and what process choices are available to them.

I am not a one-track kind of lawyer. I do not push every case to litigation, nor do I push every case to negotiation. I am skilled in litigation and trained in negotiation, including the processes of collaborative practice and mediation.
